There seems to be a growing consensus that the Dem response to the assault on Social Security should be consistent assertions that there is no crisis in  the program. While I agree as a starting point, I think Dems have a chance to further frame this debate as an analogy with the WMD "crisis" that led to the Iraq war. Most Americans, including many who relected Bush, feel they were misled about the WMD, and I think we can use that here.
